“We’ll see afterwards if I feel bad. Nobody can put themselves in my body and feel my pain. I’m going to try and do my best” —The sign of a man who feels misunderstood. If he and Johan truly saw eye to eye, they’d speak over the phone, not the tabloids.

Defining Pro - A look at fashion on the bike. → rapha.cc

In the link above, Tom Southam talks about being a pro cyclist, and likens his kit to a work uniform.

Looking good on a bike is no mistake; just like in real life , cyclists can be ‘stylish’ while others can just look amateur. And just like in life, it goes down to the small details. The sock length, a cotton cap on a cold day, well fitted kit, fitted arm warmers, a rolled up gillet in the back pocket.

I know some guys that take it pretty seriously (like the Ninja for example), including myself. We may not average 35km/h for every training ride, but we might as well look pro while doing it. Let’s have a look at some winners and losers.

Winners:

Fabian Cancellara always looks immaculate

Millar too (except that one time he had to wear too much sunscreen)

Hincapie (owns it, every time he steps on a bike)

Team Rapha

Losers:

Juan Jose Cobo (Geox kit, scew helmet, WTF)

Voekler & F. Schleck (their short shorts are offensive)

The Lampre team (lord save us)
